Spiritual Guidance
Certificate Program
Becoming an Instrument of Healing
Spiritual Guidance From the Center offers a one-year certificate program that provides training and exploration into the dynamics of spiritual guidance. Our program has been developed from a unique perspective that integrates transpersonal psychology and psychospiritual models of healing within a multi-traditional and multi-cultural frame of reference.
Individuals called to this work are provided an opportunity for training in the art of spiritual guidance and for growing and developing the self as an agent of change and transformation in the world. Because an integral part of the program will be contemplation, prayer, and meditation together, it is expected that a community will develop among the participants.
This twelve-month program begins September 28, 2002 and meets one weekend a month. Each weekend will include didactic material, skills building, and spiritual development. Upon completion of required course work and an internship, a certificate in spiritual guidance will be granted from the Transpersonal Counseling Center at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (36 continuing education units are also available for MFTs, LCSWs, and RNs).
TIME COMMITMENT:
The training program itself meets on the third weekend of each month (with the exception that September and December will meet on the second weekend) and includes twelve hours of course work each weekend
During the program, participants must receive 25 hours of individual spiritual guidance from a spiritual guide approved by the program
